Ordination is an ancient and well-known tradition of most recorded
religious traditions. There are two components of ordination: a transmission of a specific spiritual energy that is passed from
master to student and to be 'set aside' to teach and train others
to be spiritual.
There are several benefits gained through Ordination unique to the ministry. One is the practical and legal aspects; ministers can perform marriages, funerals and get off-hour access to hospitals in order to see clients. Secondly, ministers to allowed to lay hands on others legally, for the purposes of spiritual healing and pastoral counseling.
The Community of the Whole Person (CWP) was organized as a
legal entity starting in the early 1970's, in order to enable students trained in Teleios Technique to function as pastoral counselors.
With Ordination, CWP goes about conducting its mission of changing consciousness in as many people as possible. Humanity can then
be reintroduced to their soul and spiritual destiny, which is to serve others and care for the Earth.
Ordination attunes the minister to higher spritual energies. These
energies aids in the search to find enlightenment and offering us
empowerment that heals self and others. This gift is of a higher
consciousness that opens and deepens one's contact with the
God without and the God within.
Dr. Jim Cox, the founder of CWP, has a background of being ordained as a Methodist minister, with traditions back to the Anglican Church and spanning back to the Roman Catholic Church, which claims an unbroken transmission to Peter and Jesus. He has also been ordained as a Reiki Master, MariEl and has received shakti pat from one of the Eastern religions. He brings these energies together, passing them energetically to students using the Teleios Empowerment.
Ordination by CWP requires completion of the Teleios Technique Training Program, which is designed to begin the training process in pastoral counseling techniques. Training focuses on increasing a person's inner strength to clear and release past barriers, beliefs
and guilt that block the free flow of spiritual energy through the person.
The training is done on a group setting to teach the power of shared commitment and community.
